Abstract: The identity of Themus parallelus Wittmer, 1973 is clarified based on re-examination of its type material and additional specimens previously identified as this species. The holotype and a sole paratype of T. parallelus, both collected at the same locality in Xizang, China, are shown to represent two distinct species. The name T. parallelus is restricted to the holotype, whereas the former paratype is described as T. pseudoparallelus sp. nov. The aedeagus illustrated as T. parallelus in the original description was based on the paratype (= T. pseudoparallelus sp. nov.) and therefore did not represent the true T. parallelus. T. muganglingensis Švihla, 2004 from Sichuan, which has been treated as a junior synonym of T. parallelus, is restored as a valid species. Additional specimens from Gansu and Qinghai represent further distinct species, described as T. isabelleae sp. nov. and T. qinghaiensis sp. nov., respectively. Illustrations of diagnostic characters, an identification key to the species, and a distribution map are provided for all species concerned.

摘要：基于对Themus parallelus Wittmer, 1973的模式标本及该种其他已定名标本的重新检视，本文澄清了其分类学身份。T. parallelus的正模与唯一副模均采自于中国西藏的同一地点，但经研究两者分别代表两个不同的物种。T. parallelus这一学名限定用于正模所代表的物种，而原副模则描述为T. pseudoparallelus sp. nov.。原始描述中作为T. parallelus展示的阳茎实际上基于该副模（即T. pseudoparallelus sp. nov.），因而并不代表真正的T. parallelus。四川的T. muganglingensis Švihla, 2004此前被处理为T. parallelus的次异名，现恢复为有效种。来自甘肃和青海的其他标本分别代表两个不同的物种，分别描述为T. isabelleae sp. nov.与T. qinghaiensis sp. nov.。本文为上述所有相关物种提供了鉴别特征图示、物种检索表及分布图。
